hi there! i'm ilya!
I was born and raised in South Minneapolis and have now meandered over to Milwaukee. I am a proud daughter, sister, wife, and worshiper of King Jesus! I am a storyteller through and through (ask my husband! Any story I tell has all the delicious details you could ask for). When I'm not filmmaking, I'm wrangling my wonderful students in my classroom (6th grade writing teacher here!), chef-ing up miscellaneous foods and baked goods in the kitchen, and forcing my dog, Benji, to snuggle as close to me as possible.

my vision
As a newlywed, I know how quickly your wedding day passes. Every moment is so special, but when the day has come and gone, you start to forget those small details. However, I truly believe that every moment of your wedding day is worthy of remembrance. Every laugh. Every embrace. Every tear. Every glimpse of God's glory and goodness. I'm here to help you remember each moment.
video or film?
You'll notice throughout my site that I refer to my wedding videos as "wedding films" a lot of the time. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, films are known to tell stories, which is my goal for every wedding film I create! I want to partner with you to capture your beautiful love story. Second, the word "film" is just way more fun! ;) Please note that while I call my videos "films," I do not shoot on actual film (such as Super 8) at this time.

I met my husband at the first wedding I ever filmed!!! It was the most unexpected and God-orchestrated meet cute!
